Desktop app development for Windows, macOS and Linux
Techrit builds desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux: billing and point-of-sale, office tools and kiosk apps that keep working offline and talk to printers, scanners and other local hardware.
What goes into our desktop apps
Offline first
Work carries on when the internet drops and syncs when it comes back.
Local hardware
Receipt and label printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers and other devices on the machine.
Auto-update
New versions install themselves, so every counter runs the same release.
Cross-platform
One app for Windows, macOS and Linux where you need more than one.

Desktop apps: common questions
Why build a desktop app instead of a website?
When the software must work offline, print receipts, read barcodes or use other hardware on the machine, a desktop app does it more reliably than a browser.
Which operating systems do you support?
Windows, macOS and Linux. Most of our desktop work targets Windows counters and offices.
Can the desktop app sync with a web dashboard?
Yes. The desktop app can keep a local copy of data and sync it with a cloud back end and web dashboard.
